[Vietnamese Police Seize $34 Million in Assets from NextTech Founder Over Alleged Cryptocurrency Fraud] Hanoi police have arrested NextTech Chairman Nguyen Hoa Binh and seized approximately $34 million worth of assets due to allegations of cryptocurrency fraud. The seized assets include 597 gold bars, 18 property ownership certificates, and two cars. Nguyen Hoa Binh and his team of nine individuals have been accused of fraudulent asset appropriation and accounting violations related to the AntEx cryptocurrency project. According to police investigations, in 2021, Nguyen Hoa Binh and others sold 33.2 billion AntEx tokens to approximately 30,000 investors, raising $4.5 million in funds, some of which were transferred to companies associated with NextTech. Additionally, Nguyen Hoa Binh is suspected of instructing employees to prepare dual accounting books to conceal the revenue of Nextland Real Estate Business Joint Stock Company. The case is still under investigation, and police have stated that further charges may be filed.
