Vitalik proposes discussion: Clarify the decentralization goals of Ethereum, evaluate Gas Limit and balance node resources

According to Foresight News, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin posted a discussion on the forum titled "Formally Setting Decentralization Goals in the Context of Higher L1 Gas Limits and 2020s Technology", emphasizing that "we need to be very clear about our fundamental goals in decentralization: what attributes are we trying to assign to users, and what red lines are we unwilling to cross?" Vitalik defined three types of nodes: light nodes, medium nodes, and heavy nodes, and also proposed considerations for node operating costs and resource consumption. We need to reach a clearer consensus on the answers to these questions as soon as possible. These answers will define which Layer-1 Gas Limits are safe and which EIPs are the most important, and priority needs to be given to maximizing the Gas Limit/decentralized trade-off curve
