[Bitcoin Lending Platform Lava Completes $17.5 Million Financing and Launches High-Yield Dollar Product] Bitcoin collateralized lending platform Lava announced the completion of a $17.5 million Series A extension financing round and the launch of a dollar yield product. This round of financing attracted several angel investors, including Peter Jurdjevic from Qatar Investment Authority, as well as former executives from Visa and Block (formerly Square). The newly launched dollar yield product allows users to provide liquidity for Bitcoin-collateralized loans, with an annual percentage yield (APY) of up to 7.5%. Lava emphasized that all loans on the platform are backed by Bitcoin as collateral, with a collateralization ratio exceeding 200%. Previously, Lava's Series A financing was led by Founders Fund and Khosla Ventures.

The VeChain Foundation has released its financial report for the second quarter of 2025. The report shows that as of June 30, 2025, the total value of the foundation's treasury (including stablecoins, BTC, ETH, and VET) was $167 million, a 23.5% decrease compared to $218 million at the end of the first quarter. The foundation stated that the decline in treasury value was primarily due to two factors: first, strategic investments in protocol upgrades and ecosystem expansion outlined in the "Renaissance" roadmap; second, overall market volatility in the crypto sector during the quarter.
