According to The Block, data tracked by Jameson Lopp shows another cryptocurrency related kidnapping case in France, the 10th known "wrench attack" in the country so far this year. The incident occurred on Tuesday in the southeastern Paris suburb of Maisons Alf. A 23-year-old man was kidnapped while on a business trip and was forced to call his partner, instructing her to put a Ledger hardware wallet containing a private key and 5000 euros in cash into a bag and hand it over to the attacker. An anonymous source said, "The attacker used violence to force him to speak." The victim's identity has not been determined, and he was released in the nearby town of Kretei after cryptocurrency and cash were taken away.
