According to monitoring by GoPlus Security, the smart contract deployed by Evoq Finance on the BNB Chain was attacked. The attacker stole the private key of the owner account (0xF08d1c), transferred contract ownership to their own address (0x7b416F), and upgraded the proxy contract to a malicious version. Funds were stolen from the protocol and user-approved accounts, with total losses amounting to approximately $420,000.
Users are advised to immediately revoke token approvals for the contract address 0xF9C74A65B04C73B911879DB0131616C556A626bE to prevent further losses. Security experts recommend that project teams adopt multi-signature mechanisms and regularly rotate keys to enhance the security of high-privilege accounts.
